About
It all started...
...at age eight when my dad got me my first set of business cards. It listed several of my interests. In 1978 those interests were math, puzzles, tennis and reading. Today? I still love all four, but I've added writer, speaker, cyclist and stand up paddler.
Writer
My love for writing didn’t start until high school. Before that, math was my world—neat, logical, and filled with puzzles that had one right answer. Writing felt too vast, too uncertain. But now? I embrace the broadness. I still love puzzles, but now I craft them with words.
I've written three award-winning memoirs, contributed to multiple anthologies, and published a heartfelt tribute to my paternal grandfather. Currently, I'm finishing a book of handwritten letters and a modern fairy tale series with an LGBTQ twist.
Speaker
I’ve captivated tens of thousands across the U.S. with powerful talks on writing a book with my Holocaust-survivor grandfather, how living in a 90-square-foot NYC studio for five years expanded my life, and my 30-year secret about an age-gap affair with my boss, 34 years my senior. Ready to hear more?
Living Tiny Expert
Having lived tiny for five years, I know a thing or two about the challenges it presents, but also the enormous rewards it reaps. I've spoken at dozens of Tiny House Festivals and conferences around the country and Canada. It's one of my favorite topics. (I also offer tips on decluttering your own stuff, whether you want to live tiny or not.)
Big Sister, Aunt, Cyclist and Stand Up Paddleboarder!
